I own a house, have a driveway, and value my time, so I have someone plow my driveway.

When I first hired my plow guy, he charged $15 a plow, with some storms needing more than one plow. Last year, he raised the price to $20 without mentioning it (before the bill came). (We had a billing mistake for $30/plow once, but I try not to hold that against him.) This year the price went up to $25, once again without notice.
The one other plow company I've been able to contact says they charge $30, but I'm not certain if that is by the storm, or by the trip.

Has the market price of plowing really gone up that fast? I suppose it is a reasonable track to the price of gas, but I'd have thought the cost of labor and truck would have been a larger factor.
